Terms of Use
Last revised: June 17, 2026
This page describes the arrangement between you and Illinois Healthy Women whenever you use the site. We have kept it plain and short rather than burying it in legal padding, and it works together with our Privacy Policy.
When you accept this
To browse illinoishealthywomen.com is to be bound by these terms and the Privacy Policy. Should any of it sit badly with you, the cleanest answer is simply to stop using the site.
Reading material, not clinical guidance
This site exists to help you make sense of women’s knee and joint health, from the earliest hints of osteoarthritis through the choice about surgery and out the far side into recovery. It is therefore educational reading and a measure of patient support, and it does not stand in for a conversation with the doctor, surgeon, physiotherapist, or care team who actually know your situation. Nothing on these pages settles whether you need an operation, whether a total or partial knee replacement suits your joint, or how your rehabilitation ought to run. Our Medical Disclaimer is part of these terms, so please read it before you lean on anything here.
What belongs to us, and what you may do with it
Illinois Healthy Women owns the words, the layout, and the look of the site, all of it under copyright unless we note otherwise. You may read them privately and non-commercially, send a link to one of our pages, and lift a brief quotation where the credit is plain. What you may not do is republish or redistribute large stretches without our written go-ahead, or hold our material out as clinical instruction or as work of your own.
Fair use of the site
Use the site in good faith. That means not trying to disrupt or overwhelm it, not pointing automated tools at it in ways that load it unreasonably, and not bending it to any unlawful end.
Where we link out
Here and there we point you toward other websites for further reading, professional bodies, research organisations, patient charities. Such sites lie beyond our control, and we answer for none of their content, their accuracy, or the way they treat your privacy. Whether you click through is for you to decide.
Warranties and the limits of our liability
We try to keep the information correct and current, yet we cannot guarantee that it is whole, without error, or right for one particular situation, and it comes to you “as is”. So far as the law permits, Illinois Healthy Women answers for no loss, injury, or damage arising out of how you use, or what you place your trust in across, the site and what it holds. Choices about surgery and recovery have real weight, and they stay with you and your clinical team.
Updates to this page
Expect occasional revisions here as the site develops or the legal picture changes. Whatever is shown beside “Last updated” above is the version in force, and carrying on with the site signals that you accept it. Any question is welcome through the Contact page.
